 Marketing Strategy (Strategic Partners)
The primary marketing strategy in 2011 of TDSmith is to work with like-minded business professionals through a referral system that mostly works within the core group of strategic partners.  We have found this to be the best methodology for the company's success for more than 15 years (All word of mount and referrals).  In the past, TDSmith earned revenue through strategic partner commissions, bonuses, and spiffs.  Beginning this year however, the decision has been made to have strategic partners pay TD Smith & Associates $10,000 as a one-time strategic partner fee.  However, the features and benefits to the partners are tremendous:
 
Royalty Strategic Partner Benefits
 
(1)  Partner Royalties. 
a.  Earning of a .5% (One-half percent) royalty (paid quarterly) of TD Smith & Associates gross revenues for each year partner is in good standing with company. 
b. For example, assume the company achieves $500,000 in 2011 revenues; each royalty strategic partner will earn .5% ($2,500) plus receive all the leads for their business category.  One Million in revenues will earn each partner $5,000. 
c. TD Smith's royalty commitment is for a period of five years only.  However, TD Smith & Associates will extend the five year commitment only in the event the strategic partner has not recouped at least $10,000. 
d.  If by the sixth year, the partner has not recouped $10,000, then the royalty investment shall be converted to debt and the remaining balance shall be paid at a 10% annual interest plus principle for a period of 2 years. 
(2)  A Business Plan. 
a.  Each Strategic Partner shall receive a business plan written for their business (A $5,000 to $10,000 value). 
b.  Business plans shall be written on a time schedule that allows clients to have their projects take priority unless there is a reason for urgency.
(3)  Exclusivity. 
a.  Only 20 partners may join/renew per year (One per business category). 
b. Once a partner joins and remains in good standing, they are not required to pay annually ($10,000 is a one-time commitment).
c.  Once a partner has joined TDSmith, TDSmith shall ONLY refer said partner for their type of business (Unless partner breaks rules of confidentiality or is not in good standing).
(4)  Join Marketing. 
a.  Strategic partners will be advertised in an annual mailer to investors, investment bankers, and potential clients.
b.  All Strategic partners will receive advertising on the company website, direct mailers, flyers and brochures distributed by TD Smith on an annual basis 2011 mailer = 15,000 direct mail pieces to investors, bankers, and brokers.

The driving force of the marketing strategy is to capture entrepreneur's who are starting or growing a business.  Lists will be purchased of those who have applied for business licenses, resale permits, or have joined chambers of commerce.  A second list has been purchased of 4,000 investors in Southern California and a third list of 14,000 Southern California business brokers and investment bankers have been secured.  The company will also actively pursue those who have applied for business loans by being member's of a number of banking associations.
